A traditional AC motor will typically run at a maximum of 3,600 rpm. Spindle motors can run upwards of 10,000 rpm, so it is critical that testing is adequate, or your motor won’t work upon return.

At Kontroltek, the motors team have access to high frequency test rigs for their spindle motor repairs. Spindle motors are run to their full nameplate speed, in open or closed loops, either vertically or horizontally mounted.

This means before returning your part, engineers know the high precision bearings are tested, no abnormal vibrations are occurring, and feedback sensors are signalling correctly.
